SECONDARY:- (MAHATMA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOLING) proposes to conduct Secondary School Examination and Senior Secondary School Examination twice a year. In addition, it is also proposed to offer On-Demand Examination in case the number of students at any centre is 200 or more.

The National policy on Education suggested strengthening of MGIOS for extending open learning facilities in a phased manner at secondary and Sr. Secondary levels all over the country and abroad as an independent system with its own curriculum and examination leading to awarding of certificates. This was intended to address the needs of students on working professionals in India and abroad to further the cause of spreading education.

Secondary Course Equivalent to Class XII

This Course is designed for those who have passed the Xth standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board and would like to continue their education towards a Senior Secondary School examination, equivalent to XIIth standard. You can choose subjects from the Scheme of Studies given in Table. However, you will be required to successfully complete a minimum of five subjects with at least two language or at most three languages, which is compulsory for Certification.
