It provides access to learner centric quality school education, skill up-gradation and training through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of education. The programme delivery is made through printed material coupled with face counseling (Personal Contact Programme), lab Practical/Training, EBooks, Online Support etc.

There is equivalence in the certification of the MGIOS with that of Open Schooling of Indian Government’s Education Department and with other member Boards of Open Schooling of Indian Government’s Education Department on reciprocal basis.
